OK, so not all these animals are actually types of antelope, but we're not going to get bogged down in technical classification.

That said, let's meet the kudu.  The female (left, above) has no horns and is lighter coloration than the male (left, below).  Males are as large as moose, while the females are closer in size to deer.

 

The impala is such a common sight that we stopped remarking about them after the first few days.

Traveling in herds of up to 60 individuals, impala are what one park ranger called "fast food".  Meaning, a quick meal for a lion.

The waterbuck is a very striking animal about the size of a small deer.  The female (left) is characterized by a white band of fur circling her hind quarters.  This one struck a perfect pose for us as we drove by.

 

If you blink, you're likely to miss the diminutive steenbok.  We saw several of these throughout Kruger National Park, always alone, always sitting on the ground.  We could not figure out how this baby impala got separated from the herd, but knew it wouldn't last long around all the predators.  Turns out this is a fully grown animal that is no larger than a house cat.
