There are actually two branches of Ndebele peoples.  The Northern Ndebele (a.k.a. the Matabele) live in southern Zimbabwe while the Southern Ndebele live in South Africa.  This section will focus on the Southern Ndebele peoples known as the Ndzundza.

The 500,000 Ndebele of South Africa have one of the most unique and distinctive cultures in South Africa.  Expert beaders and painters, Ndebele women are gaining worldwide popularity and respect for their craft.
